I began my art career early completing my first oil painting at the age of
14. I was selected to illustrate the year books for my high school, Traip
Academy, in Kittery, Maine. I married my high school sweetheart, Hubert Foote,
just before the war ended in 1945. I continued as a self-taught artist but later
received workshop instruction from several internationally known artists. My
paintings are of the realistic type. My husband's military career has taken me and our four children for tours in
both Okinawa and England as well as many bases in the United States. While in
Okinawa I taught art at the base elementary school. I have a collection of
paintings that I did while stationed at the various places in our travels. When my husband retired in Florida I took some more workshop classes and
also, for a period of 16 years, began teaching at the Fort Walton Beach Senior
Citizen Center and Teresa Village, a military retirement community. During this
time I also entered art shows and was awarded many ribbons. After retiring from instruction I continued with my art work, in oils and
acrylics, doing commission work. In 1995 I began doing computer painting using
the Fractual Painter program. This work is done completely freehand using a
stylus pen. All prints are pre-matted and printed on heavyweight matte paper, acid free. All of the oil and acrylic
paintings are framed and ready for hanging.
I am a member and past president of the Arts and Design Society and presently Manager
of the DAB Digital Art Board.
I would like to personally thank you for visiting my site and offer you a
chance to own the pictures on this site. I have unlimited numbers available for
all computer art and one of a kind of acrylic and oil paintings. Take a
look. Lucy Foote |
